F is for Fire Truck

We finished up with the letter F tonight with a dinner at MiMi and Poppy's house with all F foods! Jack and MiMi went to the grocery store today and looked for F foods...this is what they came up with....Firehouse Chicken, fried okra, fingerling potatoes, french bread and fruit! It was very yummy! We have had this chicken twice this week now...it is really yummy! I found the recipe the other day on this site...she has a lot of really good recipes!!! We had a crazy week and didn't get to do a lot of the activities that we had planned because sweet Sammy is sick AGAIN!!! He has another ear infection and a little virus! Bless his heart!!! Bob also had a little boo-boo this week...he scratched his cornea! Today was National Doughnut Day!!! We went to Krispy Kreme this morning for yummy FREE doughnies!!! The boys had lots of fun and got these funny little hats to wear!

After the doughnies we went to the fire station and the sweetest little fireman took the boys on a fun tour! It was so nice of him! He even got them little Jr. Fireman stickers and color books!!! Very sweet!!! The boys LOVED it!!! Jack had lots of questions for him and he took his time and tried to answer each of them! Here are the boys sitting on the back of the fire truck...

Tonight we did our craft for the week...a finger print flower pot! I made their finger prints into little bugs and bees like the bird houses that we made a few weeks ago! It turned out really cute!!
