D is for Ducks

We finished up the letter C on Friday at MiMi's house with a yummy dinner! She made chicken, corn on the cob ( a FAVORITE of both boys!) cherry limeades, and cherry cobbler! She also had a new Thomas movie for Jack about a carnival! We had to cut the night a little short and take sweet Sammy to the after hours clinic to have his foot x-rayed. It was fine...but it was all swollen and he couldn't walk...bless his heart! He has had a really tough week!!! We also had a lot of fun last week playing with chalk, wearing our camo shorts, & playing with our new toy clock! Daddy and Jack are modeling some silly cowboy hats in this one!

Saturday we started talking about the letter D. We made a picnic and went to the park to feed the ducks at Hafer Park's duck pond. We had a great time! After the park we went to get the Chinese Dragon train...Jack was so excited for like 5 minutes and then he said "okay, it's M day now... let's go get Mighty Mac!"

We spent a lot of time with DADDY!!! We love him so much and had lots of fun spending the long weekend with him! Jack looks super cute in daddy's sunglasses!

Tonight we went to Norman for dinner with Grandma and Papa. It was lots of fun! Grandma put out some chips and dip for us to snack on before dinner...she also made some deviled eggs! For dessert I made apple dumplings and dirt cake! (Jack made sure to let everyone know that it wasn't real dirt!)

PaPa working on his famous BBQ chops! YUM-O! Jason and Zach are watching!

All four boys had lots of fun playing in Grandma and PaPa's new ball pit!

Jack eating some yummy dirt cake!

I thought this picture actually turned out pretty good! All the boys are getting so big! It was really fun to see all of them in the floor playing together!

We learned the verse, "Delight yourself in the Lord" this week! Jack is really doing well memorizing them...but sometimes to be a stinker, when I ask him what his verse is for the week he says..."You look like a monkey and you smell like one too!" He is so funny! The other night we went to Dos Gabachos for dinner and it was taking the waiter a while to get to us...Jack looked at me and said "Mom, could you please tell the chef that I would like a sprite!"
He makes us laugh all the time!
