Bob and I took our first over night trip in almost 4 years to Dallas a few weeks ago...
even though the Sooners lost we had a great time!
We got to MiMi and Poppy's house early on Friday morning and this is what MiMi had waiting for the boys!

They did all kinds of little craft projects! This one is an apple tree made out of their hand and arm print (the trunk) and their fingertips (the apples).
I called MiMi when we were in Ardmore to see how they were doing and she said...
"oh things are going great, we've had breakfast, painted pumpkins, painted apple trees, painted little scarecrows, and we are getting ready to make some cupcakes!"
this is when I started getting worried that they were never going to want to come home!
MiMi asked Sammy to smile and show her his painting and this is the face that he gave her...
I'm telling you, this one keeps us laughing all day long!

My mom had made a football field on the table cloth...Friday evening Jack and Poppy played a little game of football with some little footballs....

They took the boys to the park on Saturday and the ice cream truck came so they got some yummy ice cream!

Happy Birthday Molly! What a great Mimi and Poppy! The boys are so cute and looked like they had a wonderful time! We hope Mommy and Daddy had a great, relaxing trip also. Lets get together soon!
